I’m a senior-year student studying Computer Science and Music. I originally started as a Music Education & Computer Science major, but I’ve decided to shift priorities and use music as a hobby rather than as a career. If I ever tire of the technology field, I can always go back and become a teacher later.
I’ve always been interested in technology; once my parents let me play with the family computer I was hooked. I grew into programming, and now primarily use Python, C++, and Javascript (web development) in projects I’ve been working on lately. I’ve also picked up PHP and touched on a few other languages along the way.
I believe technology has a lot of promise in the world, and I’d love to contribute something meaningful to the world through technology.
Musically, I played Horn for about ten years, and piano for as long as I can remember; right now piano is my primary instrument. I’m not a huge fan of classical music — I much prefer Jazz instead.
In my free time I enjoy photography. In 2007 I took a photo every day; while I stopped taking a daily photo after 2007, I’d like to spend more time taking photographs.
I’ve grown to appreciate the bald eagle as a symbol of freedom1, integrity, and respect — qualities I strongly believe in, which which is why I’ve incorporated the bald eagle into this design.

Not necessarily in a patriotic sense, rather in a philosophical one. ↩
